About the teacher

Hello! I am Sheri Johnson, and I am the 8th grade Math/Science teacher at Beardslee Dual Language Academy. I grew up in Orange County, California, and still enjoy living there. 

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton, a Master of Education in Cross-Cultural Education from National University, a Master of Education in Technology in Education from Lesley University, and a Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University - yes, I love learning!  

I began my teaching career teaching 6th grade in Bellflower Unified in 1999. I then moved to Colorado, where I taught high school ESL for 7 years.  Moving back to California, I moved into administrative roles being an assistant principal and principal at the middle school level for several years. I moved back into the classroom in 2019 and joined the staff at Beardslee in 2022.

In my spare time, I work at Disneyland. So, when I am not at school I am at the Happiest Place on Earth!  I also enjoy traveling to other Disney parks worldwide. In the summer of 2024, I was able to go to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea!
