Meet the Principal

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year! It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to another school year at Beardslee Academy. My journey in education began right here in the Duarte Unified School District, where I served in multiple roles, including teacher, outreach consultant, and teaching and learning coach, for over a decade. I also had the opportunity to serve as a principal in the Azusa Unified School District before returning to DUSD, and for the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of leading the Beardslee Academy community. My commitment to the success and well-being of every student has only deepened over time. At Beardslee, we are guided by a shared vision: to foster a learning environment that prioritizes academic excellence, emotional well-being, and behavioral growth. We believe every student is capable of greatness, and our dedicated team works daily to ensure they feel seen, valued, and supported in reaching their full potential. We also recognize that meaningful partnerships between home and school are key to our students' success. Your involvement, whether through communication, participation, or encouragement at home, makes a lasting impact on your child’s educational journey. As we embark on this new year, we remain focused on providing high-quality instruction grounded in student data, creating safe and nurturing classrooms, and supporting each child’s path to success.
