Teaching is more than a profession—it’s a calling. It’s about guiding, inspiring, and unlocking the potential within every child. Special education, in particular, provides a unique opportunity to help students grow and reach their highest potential, ensuring that every learner is seen, heard, and valued.

With 16 years of teaching experience—five of those in special education—I have seen firsthand the power of connection in the classroom. As Rita Pierson once said, “Kids don’t learn from people they don’t like.” That’s why I am passionate about building strong relationships with my students, creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.
